Men's Baseball at Kellogg Community College

Bruins selected in 2008 draft - 1 current and 1 former Bruin selected in the 2008 draft. Dan Killian a freshman catcher was selected in the 7th round of the 2008 major league baseball draft. He was the 16th Junior College player taken. Killian hit .395 with 7 homeruns and as he helped Kellogg to a league co-championship.
Brad McElroy a senior outfielder for the Charlotte 49ers was selected in the 24th round of the mlb draft. McElroy left the 49ers program as their all-time leader in batting average. Brad helped the 2005 Bruins to a conference championship and school record 46 wins.

2007 National Runners up - Kellogg Community College finished another highly successful season with a record of 44-15. The Bruins won the MCCAA Conference and qualified for the NJCAA 11 World Series where they lost in the National Championship game 5-4

Kellogg gets it done in the classroom! Kellogg Community College's baseball team maintained a 3.05 grade point average as a team in the fall semester. 17 players averaged above a 3.00. Coach Bortell believes that type of off the field commitment is as important as all of the success K.C.C. has produced on the field!
