Women's Softball at Kellogg Community College

My name is Kati and I attended Lakeview High School. I was the starting pitcher my junior and senior years, team Captain my senior year and selected to the MNSSCA All District team. I am currently studying Elementary Education.

My name is Megan, I attended Union City High School. I played both softball and volleyball. I started on the Varsity for 3 years. My junior year I was selected to tha All Conference award. My senior year, I was awarded All Conference, All District and All Area for the Battle Creek and Coldwater areas as well as being named MVP. I am studying to become a paralegal and plan to move south to finish my degree.

I am Katie. I graduated from Harper Creek in 2007. My major is Secondary Education with a Minor in French. I have been playing for 5 years and like playing the outfield. I plan on transferring to Western Michigan next year.

My name is Allison Williams. I attended Battle Creek Central High School and graduated in 2006. I was voted Miss BCC Softball, best hitter, MVP and All City. I am majoring in Physical Therapy with a minor in Athletic Training. I will be attending Northern Michigan University on a Volleyball scholarship.

I am Amanda. I graduated from Tekonsha High School where I played three years of Varsity softball as a second baseman. I received All League second team and All District in 2006. I participated in volleyball, basketball and cheer leading. I am studying Early Childhood Education.

My name is Devan and I am originally from Jerseyville, Ontario, Canada.I have been playing ball for fifteen years. I was a starter for the Ancaster Blizzard Club team for four years. During those four years we were provincial Champions. My Hamilton Heat “A” team were also Provincial qualifiers for three years.

My name is Hannah. I graduated from Hanover-Horton High School where I pitched on the Varsity for 4 years. I also played Volleyball. I have been playing ball since I was seven. Plans for the future include entering the Law Enforcement and becoming a Police officer.

My name is Brittany and I come to KCC from Harper Creek High School. While playing softball at Harper Creek for 4 years, I spent the majority of my time on the mound while occasionally playing first base. During my junior year I earned Best Defensive Player and All City honorable mention. My senior year I was a team captain, MVP and made the All City Team. I also participated in basketball for two years, was a member of the yearbook committee and an Honor Roll student for four years. After KCC I plan to transfer to a four year school and pursue a career in the medical field.

I am Kandyce, this is my second year with the team. Last season I was the starting Center fielder and plan to be again this year. I attended Harper Creek High School where I started for 3 years. Honors received include, All City, All District, All Conference and the Slugger award. I am planning a career in Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine. I also played for the KCC Volleyball team. I enjoy playing the outfield and working hard to become a better athlete.

My name is Alyssa, this is my second year with the team where I started as first baseman. Last year I received the highest team GPA Honor. I am a graduate from Harper Creek High school where I played three years of Varsity Softball. While in high school I also played two years of varsity basketball and volleyball. I received Academic All State for two years in basketball, volleyball, and softball while also being a member of Academic All State teams in all three as well. After attending KCC I plan on transferring to Michigan State University to pursue a career in Business.

My name is Amanda. I graduated from Delton-Kellogg High School. I’ve been playing ball since I was six, moving from T-ball to Little League and then on to high school. I was a three year Varsity player and played many years of summer ball. In my spare time I love to be out doors. Whether it’s going out on the lake, hunting, riding my quad or fishing. I also like to spend time with my family and friends. At KCC I am studying Computer Aided Design and Technology and possibly moving on to a four year school to pursue Mechanical Engineering.

I am Christine White. I live in Hickory Corners and attended Gull Lake High School. I was a three sport player, basketball, volleyball and softball. My senior year I was team Captain in basketball and softball. I was awarded a medal for the Cereal City Championship, Greater Kalamazoo Championship, two District Championship medals. In my senior year I was voted to the all conference team. In my spare time I enjoy water sports, crafts, movies, hanging out with friends and being with my family. I am studying Nursing at KCC.

My name is Kate. I attended Maple Valley High School. My softball accomplishments were: Varsity starter for 3 years, honorable mention All Barry County, I played both the out field and infield. After attending KCC I plan on going to Michigan State University to get a degree in Veterinary degree for small animals.

2007 should prove to be an interesting year for the Lady Bruins. There is a nice mixture of veteran players and some talented newcomers. This is Coach Denbrock's third year as the head softball coach. The team continues to improve each year, and last year we were 16-30-1, which is the most wins for the program in at least ten years. The team finished their Florida trip with four straight wins and were playing really well.
