Brian C. Hice




Brian C. Hice
Chair

Mr. Hice is the retired owner of a Marshall family business. He has served on technology advisory committees of KCC and the Calhoun Area Technology Center and is the Chairman of the KCC Foundation Board. Mr. Hice has attended KCC, is a graduate of Graceland College of Lamoni, Iowa, and is a former school music teacher,  A minister in the Community of Christ Church, he is presently a youth minister, as well as an active member of the Marshall Community Band and the church choir.

Judith L. Burken





Judith L. Burken
Vice Chair

Judith Burken served as a member of KCC's Arts and Communication faculty for 30 years, retiring in 2001. In 2005, she was elected to the KCC Board of Trustees. Prior to joining the English college faculty, she was a marketing specialist at Northwestern Bell Telephone Co., an editor/columnist at the Omaha World Herald, and a corporate public relations officer for General Learning Corp. in New Jersey. She began her journalism career as a general reporter in Iowa. A native Iowan, she is a graduate of a two-year Iowa junior college, has a B.A. from the University of Iowa and holds a Master's degree from Michigan State. She did post-graduate work at the University of Detroit. She has served as national president of the National Community College Journalism Association, first president of the Michigan Community College Journalism Association, and an officer in the Kellogg Faculty Association. Judith is also serving on the Board of the Kellogg Community College Foundation, and is a former president of St. Mary's Lake Association. She is the author of a nationally published text on news reporting.

Reba M. Harrington

Ms. Harrington is a University of Toledo graduate with an M.B.A. from Golden Gate University and a law degree from J.D. Capital University School of Law. Ms. Harrington serves as a Federal Attorney at the Federal Center and is a retired officer of the United States Air Force Military and former business owner. She has serverd on the United Way Board of Directors, was a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, and is a published author and playwright. Ms. Harrington is divorced with two young adult children.

Jonathan D. Byrd





Jonathan D. Byrd
Treasurer

Mr. Byrd was awarded the Gold Key Scholarship while attending Kellogg Community College and has a B.A. from Olivet College. Currently the Director of Constituent Relations for the Michigan Senate Democratic Caucus, Mr. Byrd is a Tomorrow's Political Leaders Fellow through the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research at Michigan State University. Mr. Byrd is also actively involved in the community as the Chair of the Calhoun County Democratic Party, Member of the Senior Millage Allocation Committee, Board Member for the Friends of the Albion Library, and Albion NAACP member. A lifelong resident of Calhoun County , Mr. Byrd is married with three children..


Matthew A. Davis





Matthew A. Davis
Trustee

Mr. Davis is a graduate of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. Currently a Realtor/Associate Broker in a family Real Estate brokerage, he has a Michigan Real Estate and Broker License and is an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) and Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI). Mr. Davis is a member and past president of the Battle Creek Area Association of Realtors (BCAAR), and has served in state and national committees for the Realtor Association. He is also involved in his community serving on the Board of Directors of the Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce, Oaklawn Hospital Development Council, Marshall Area Development Alliance and Marshall Parks and Recreation Board, and other local committees. Mr. Davis is married with four children.

Ann Rosenbaum




Ann Rosenbaum
Trustee

Ms. Rosenbaum has served the Board as past Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary. Ms. Rosenbaum is currently serving her fifth term as the Calhoun County Treasurer.  She is a graduate of Hofstra University in New York, received her master’s degree from Western Michigan University, and serves on the Boards of Oaklawn Hospital, Economic Development Forum, Fort Custer Tax Increment Financing Authority, and Calhoun Area School Board Members.  She is also past president of Michigan Association of County Treasurers, and involved in several organizations such as National Trust for Historic Preservation, and Michigan Municipal Finance Officer's Association.

Eugene D. Hamaker

Former chair of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Hamaker is a University of Michigan graduate, and has been an active business and community leader in Marshall where he’s received numerous community awards.  Present supervisor of Marshall Township and chair of the Board of Directors of Chemical Bank of Marshall, he is past president of the Board Directors of Oaklawn Hospital and the past president  of the Michigan Foundryman's Association, as well as a past president of the Marshall Chamber of Commerce, past president of  the Central Michigan Chapter of the American Foundryman's Society, and past president of the Southwest Michigan Foundry Management Association. He was named the outstanding foundry manager of Central Michigan and is a former member of the Governor's Small Business Committee.
