The College Level Examination Program is a national program where students may earn college credit by examination. CLEP offers 35 examinations. Successful completion of a CLEP exam may be used as transfer credit for an equivalent KCC course, or results can be sent to other colleges for credit.

Kellogg Community College generally grants credit for scores that meet the recommendations determined by the American Council on Education. KCC operates an open test site, so anyone may take CLEP exams at the test center. CLEP exams are administered only on a prepaid prescheduled basis.

The CLEP fee is $65.00 per exam. There is an appointment fee of $15.00.

Test dates are scheduled individually. Registration forms are available at the Testing and Assessment Center in the Lane-Thomas Building (Battle Creek site), the Grahl Center in Coldwater, and the Fehsenfeld Center in Hastings.
